Look to junk food manufacturers to save school pools
Why not get the pop, chips and chocolate bar manufacturers back into the schools?
They were with us for the past 30 years, waving their sugary magic on our calorie intake. If school is really about a culture of second chances, why not give them the opportunity to make amends and save the pools through advertising? Although the product won't be available, their logo could be on the oh-so-underused floor and walls of the pool. The space, the market, and the opportunity is a promoter's dream. Hasn't one fast food chain already linked physical activity to their product? Think outside the box, or at least outside the fridge.
