This month's pets come from two independent rescue organizations; Action Volunteers for Animals (AVA), based in Unionville, and Pugalug Rescue in Toronto.
From the feedback I have received over the years, I would like to thank all the readers who have made contact with the shelters and rescue organizations that we have featured.
Many animals have been helped, not only in the form of adoptions, through the donation of time, supplies and monetary funding to the various groups.
So without further ado I will introduce our May Pets of the Month:
Jodi is a domestic, short-haired, brown and white spayed female tabby cat who is about 10 months old.
She is a little shy at first, but is described as sweet-natured and good with other cats. Jodi also seems to like dogs and currently resides at the Richmond Hill PetSmart located at 225 High Tech Rd.
If you require more information about Jodi or other homeless cats, call 416-439-8770 or visit AVA's website at www.actionvolunteersforanimals.com
Bob is an 18-month-old, neutered male pug who came into rescue from an owner who didn't keep him.
He is a very busy boy and would do best in an active home. He has had little or no training and will need a home willing to take him to obedience classes.
Bob does not like cats and cannot be in a home with them. He does, however, love to be with people and is very affectionate. If you are interested in adopting this lovable bundle of happy energy, please visit www.pugalug.com or call 416-422-4324.
