POLICE: Man, woman shot in Annex Thursday night
Police are looking for leads after a 20-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were shot in the Bloor and Bathurst streets area late Thursday night.
The incident took place at roughly 11 p.m., when the man was shot in the chest and the woman was shot in the ankle.
The man collapsed outside a Brunswick Avenue café and both victims were taken to St. Michael’s Hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police closed Bloor Street from Walmer Road to Borden Street to secure the site and were able to recover several discharged rounds of ammunition.
It was not known whether the victims were targeted or innocent bystanders.
Police are looking for two suspects who were seen fleeing north along Brunswick Avenue.
